Mystical looking floating objects at sunrise in Bagan Myanmar. Ballooning is the most magical experience you can do in Bagan. Exhilarating views over 2,200 temples will leave you longing to return.

All of the pilots with both Balloons Over Bagan and Oriental Ballooning are trained overseas, with most of the pilots coming from the UK. It's common in the balloon pilot scene to work the season here, then move to another part of the world for their high season.

Temples of Bagan, Myanmar. It truly must have been a grand city once. The main period of construction here was begun in the 11th century by a king called Anawrahta who had been converted to Theravada Buddhism and wanted to prove his devotion to his newfound faith.
