Paradise lost or unfound. The entire landmass of the Philippines is made up islands, making it the second-largest archipelago in the world.

In fact, the Philippines has approximately 7,500 islands with only 2,000 of them inhabited and nearly 5,000 still unnamed on global maps.

White Beach is the most popular of Puerto Galera’s 32 beaches especially among Filipino tourists. It was declared in 2005 as one of the most beautiful Bays in the world by the UNESCO supported organization. It was the Spanish colonizers who gave Puerto Galera its name, literally means "Port of Galleons. It has been considered as one of the safest, most convenient natural harbors. One of the oldest settlements of the religious missionaries, it was founded in 1574 as the original capital of Mindoro. On December 1973 President Ferdinand Marcos declared Puerto Galera a reservation area under the Man and Biosphere program of the UNESCO.
